Dull, dreary, dismal, and gray,
Blankly staring—long the day.
Insipid, uninspired, miles from gay.
How the Hell did I get this way?
I miss the vibrant beauty of life;
Flowers bloomed, colors rife.
I used to dance on the edge of a knife
Without cutting my feet on strife.
But today I sit alone and stare
Into the world, empty and bare.
Praying someone will take me there:
It doesn't matter where.
