Bloody Roots II

by ·

4/2/2019
held in place by crippling fear
i can't remember how i got here
or what it feels like to move freely
to let my mind simply be
instead i'm captured in dangerous thought
my feet cemented to this plot
Planted firmly as a tree
branches reaching desperately
tumultuous wind swirls round & round
i need to break loose from this goddamned ground
i struggle with every ounce of me
no matter the cost i will break free
i rip my bloody roots from the earth
start the journey of my rebirth
