Attention is a Firefly (v2)

9/25/2017
attention is a firefly
magical, beautiful, never wry
hard to capture, hard to hold
flashing possibility, rapture so bold
everyone huddles around to see
the magic that a firefly be
but once they've had their evening fill
the firefly grows cold and still
that magnetic light begins to fade
until you let her fly away
so fly away so bold and free
in the darkness you shall see
the beaming in the clear night sky
attention is a firefly
