A Single Tear Falls

by ·

10/8/2015
A single tear falls: salty, bittersweet.
The end and the beginning, at last they meet.
Remorse, no, regret—refuse to retreat.
With my decisions, I'm left, to remind.

No choice but forward, is left for me to make.
The journey ahead is all I can take.
Now, in the present, my past—a mistake.
I cannot afford to rewind.

Leaping, uncertain, no harness to wear.
Running from wolves, I now soar through the air.
My past looming closer, I must escape the despair.
For the bottom, so long I have pined.
