A New Year is Born

by ·

1/2/2018
White, brisk, the frosty air chills
        the world outside my door.
Animals hiding, slipping and sliding
        trying to keep warm.
Under this roof, within these walls
Across the rafters, through the halls
Voices are sounding, joyous be all
A new year has been born.
