A Jagged Fragment

by ·

I’m a jagged fragment
Of who I used to be
Broken, bruised
On bended knee

But what they ignore
And refuse to see
Is all the strength
I have yet to be

They’ll see a fraction
Assume it’s whole
That lonely pieces
Compose my soul

Let them believe
For I’m finally free
Clear of your lies
And your cold decree

In vacant spaces
Empty places
I lay quiet ground
To rebuild me
